Catching Up With Sunset At Tills Beach Resort
On Saturday evening,a friend informed me about the Aboakyer Festival(Antelope hunting) of the people of Winneba in the Central region of Ghana. We made plans to go to Winneba on Sunday to have a little of the festival experience and climax the day at one of their amazing beaches. Fortunately or unfortunately, we didn’t live up to our plan. We ended up leaving Accra at 3:30pm and made our way through the famous Kasoa traffic after an hour😐. At that point we had to decide if to continue with our plan to drive to Winneba or find another beach to end the day nicely. One thing we all couldn’t afford to miss out on is watching the sun go down(sunset) so we quickly concluded on Tills beach resort, located in Gomoah Fetteh which was about 40 mins drive from where we had gotten to.
It takes roughly 30 minutes drive off the Accra- Winneba road to arrive at Tills beach. The road to the venue is bumpy but definitely worth the view you’ll get on your arrival. This same road leads to the white sands beach resort and the sunset beach. It actually wasn’t my first time at tills beach, this is my 3rd time and by far my best moment there!. My friends’ on the other hand were new to the place and they absolutely loved it.
Too bad we didn’t leave Accra earlier😁, we spent 2 hours on the beach because that’s all we had(5pm-7pm) but I made very good use of the 2hours and cherished every moment of it. Those following me on snap chat(snapname Lifebyapril) can testify to that. I got the best sunset views in my life so far, it was amazing, I mean amaaaazing with two different views. Herty and I spent an hour capturing and admiring the sunsets. The beach is clean as you can see from the pictures, not the regular ones you see in some parts of Accra.
As at may 2016, the current entrance fee to tills beach resort is 15cedis per head for adults.
No food and drinks are allowed from outside because they sell some and its afford, their jollof rice is really tasty.
Here are more pictures taken at tills beach…..
I’m not promising you’ll get all 3 sunset views like the ones in the pictures when you visit but all I know is we were lucky and happy to have seen the sun set this beautifully.
